Declaration of Faith

(1) We believe: The bible was written by men inspired by the Holy Ghost, and it is the infallible and only word of God.

(2) We believe: In one God eternally existing in three persons: namely the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

(3) We believe: That Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary; that Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead; that He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

(4) We believe: That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

(5) We believe: That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are appropriated by faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

(6) We believe: In sanctification following the new birth, through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ; through obedience to the Holy Word, and by the Holy Ghost.

(7) We believe: Holiness to be God’s standard of living for his people.

(8) We believe: In the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4, that it is evidenced by changes in the believer’s life, including a renewed love for God and people, and a commitment to the word of God and holy living.

(9) We believe: In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

(10) We believe: In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

(11) We believe: Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

(12) We believe: In the Lord’s Supper (as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation), and in the washing of the saints’ feet.

(13) We believe: Marriage is ordained of God, according to Matthew 19:4-5: The Creator made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh”. Marriage is to be an exclusive relationship between a man and a woman, a lifelong faithful union. This relationship should emulate the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:23-30).

(14) We believe: That marriage is defined only by God in His Holy Word, and the government has no authority to define marriage.

(15) We believe: Homosexuality and lesbianism are an abomination in the eyes of God.

(16) We believe: The head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. According to Genesis 2:18, it was not good for man to be alone; therefore, the woman was created by God to be a help meet (one who is capable of walking alongside). Parents are to nurture their children, and children are to obey and honor their parents.

(17) We believe: In the bodily resurrection of and eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

(18) We believe: In the blessed hope, the imminent return of Christ for His church.

(19) We believe: Our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19).

(20) We believe: We must obey the voice of God and not man (Jeremiah 42:6). We must be fully persuaded in our own hearts, based upon the Word of God, whether anything be unclean, (Romans 14:5 and 14:14) defile, or cause harm or death (Exodus 20:13) to His temple, and that each man must stand before God and give an account to God and God alone for those decisions (Revelation 20:12).
